The 13th European Road Show 2017 was held from October 30 to November 2, in the Cities of Madrid and London, the most important European places for Peruvian investments. Participating on this occasion were Bruno Giuffra, Minister of Transport and Communications, and Cayetana Aljovín, Minister of Energy and Mines. As in previous opportunities, Julio Velarde, Governor of the Peruvian Central Reserve Bank, joined the delegation.
In the City of Madrid, two seminars were held with a large number of attendees. The first event, entitled “Peru-Spain Business Encounter”, was held at the premises of Fundación Telefónica; the second session, “Peru: Reconstruction and Investment, Thrust for Development”, took place at Casa de América. These activities featured major speeches made by the ministers. Thereafter, meetings were held between Minister Giuffra and companies in the areas of transport, infrastructure and ports; while Minister Cayetana Aljovín met with mining and hydrocarbon company executives.
In London, the delegation participated – for the fifth time – at the Market Opening Ceremony of the local stock exchange (the London Stock Exchange), followed by one-on-one meetings held between delegates and local investors, organized by entities, such as Baker & McKenzie, Credicorp, London Stock Exchange and BBVA.
The meetings brought together around 800 investors in both cities, which proves the interest currently existing about Peru.
Both Road Shows had great national and international media coverage, thanks to the media partners and the invited press, such as Andina, El Comercio, G de Gestión, Gestión, RPP and Semana Económica; with publications in the amount of more than US$ 2 million.
